Cancer types & information
Short guides to the cancers Dr Sneha most often treats, what each one is, common signs, how it is diagnosed and staged, the kinds of treatment used, and when a specialist opinion helps. Dr Sneha is expanding each of these into a fuller guide.
Breast cancer
An overview of breast cancer, noticing a change or lump, how imaging and biopsy confirm a diagnosis, what "type" and "stage" mean, and the roles of surgery, medical therapy and radiation. Molecular features such as hormone-receptor and HER2 status guide treatment.
Lung cancer
The main types of lung cancer, how it is diagnosed, and why molecular testing is now a routine part of planning treatment, it identifies changes that targeted therapy or immunotherapy can act on.
Colorectal cancer
Screening and early detection, how colorectal cancer is diagnosed and staged, and the combination of surgery and medical therapy used depending on the stage.
Ovarian cancer
Signs that are easy to miss, how the diagnosis is made, and how surgery, chemotherapy and (for some women) targeted therapy work together.
Gastric (stomach) cancer
Risk factors, how gastric cancer is diagnosed and staged, and the treatment approaches used, including the role of molecular testing.
Blood cancers
An introduction to leukaemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma for patients and families, how they differ from solid tumours, how they are diagnosed, and the treatments used.

Common questions
What affects the cost of cancer treatment?
The main factors are the type and stage of the cancer, the treatments involved (surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy), how long treatment continues, the tests and scans needed for monitoring, and any genomic testing. Because plans are individual, exact costs are best discussed with Spashta Healthcare, who can give you an estimate for your situation.
Does insurance cover cancer treatment?
Most health-insurance policies in India cover cancer diagnosis and treatment, though coverage for specific medicines, genomic tests and day-care procedures varies by policy. Spashta Healthcare can help you check your policy and coordinate cashless or reimbursement claims with your insurer or TPA.
How do I book an appointment?
Call Spashta Healthcare on +91 99000 79030, book through the Spashta website, or message on WhatsApp. Mention if the appointment is for a new consultation, a second opinion or a follow-up.
What should I bring to my first visit?
All your reports, biopsy and pathology, imaging reports and discs, blood tests, previous treatment summaries, and any molecular testing reports, plus a list of your current medicines. The more complete the records, the more useful the consultation.
Can family members attend the consultation?
Yes, and it often helps. Many decisions are made together with family, and having someone with you means there is a second person to remember what was discussed.
Will I be treated at Spashta Healthcare?
Dr Sneha's consultations and day-care treatments are based at Spashta Healthcare in BTM Layout. She also consults at Aster RV and Aster Whitefield by prior appointment. Some specialised procedures may be arranged at a partner centre, which she will explain.
