Second opinion & treatment review

A clear, unhurried review of your diagnosis and options

Asking for a second opinion doesn't mean anything has gone wrong. It is a normal, sensible step. Dr Sneha goes through your reports, scans and any molecular testing, then explains the options in plain language, whether or not you continue your care with her.

You are under no obligation to change doctors.

When a second opinion helps

Good moments to seek a review

A new diagnosis

Before treatment begins, to confirm the diagnosis and stage, and understand the full range of options.

Before a major decision

When you are choosing between treatment paths, or weighing the benefits and trade-offs of an intensive plan.

Recurrent or progressive cancer

If the cancer has come back or is not responding as expected, and the next step is unclear.

Complex or rare cases

Including molecular-report interpretation and questions about targeted treatments or clinical trials.

What to bring

  • Biopsy and pathology reports
  • Imaging, CT, MRI, PET-CT reports and the discs/images
  • Blood test results
  • Any previous treatment summaries or discharge notes
  • Molecular or genomic testing reports, if done
  • A list of your current medicines

After the review

You are under no obligation to change doctors. Many people have a second opinion and then continue treatment with their existing team, using the review to feel settled about the plan. If you do choose to continue your care with Dr Sneha, she will coordinate the next steps with you.

A second opinion is an assessment based on the information available at the time. It is general guidance about your options, not a treatment prescription, which requires ongoing care. Medically reviewed by Dr Sneha Kommineni.
