Consultant Medical Oncologist

Precision-led cancer care, explained clearly.

A cancer diagnosis brings a lot of hard questions. Dr Sneha Kommineni treats solid and blood cancers, using genomic testing to match treatment to the biology of your tumour. She also takes the time to talk each decision through with you and your family.

The approach

Every cancer is different. Your treatment should be too.

Two people with what looks like the same cancer on a scan can, at the level of the tumour's biology, have two different diseases that need two different treatment plans. Dr Sneha's work starts with understanding your diagnosis in detail: the type and stage, the molecular drivers, your overall health, and what matters to you day to day.

From there she builds a plan that is both evidence-based and specific to you, and explains the reasoning at each step. Many patients say what they value most is simply not being rushed, and leaving each appointment knowing what happens next.

Beyond Cancer Treatment

Nutrition, emotional and psychological support, survivorship planning and supportive care, because how you live through treatment matters as much as the treatment itself.

Supportive & holistic care
Precision oncology

A treatment aimed at your disease

Where treatment was once chosen mainly by the type and stage of a cancer, the most useful decisions today are guided by the molecular and genetic profile of the tumour itself. Dr Sneha practises this as the foundation of her care.

Genomic profiling & NGS

Reading large sections of the tumour's DNA to find the changes driving it, and which targeted treatments are likely to work.

Liquid biopsy

A blood test that can detect tumour DNA, track response to treatment and pick up early signs of recurrence.

Hereditary cancer programmes

BRCA, Lynch syndrome and other inherited risks, with counselling for you and your family.

Molecular-report review

Translating a genomic report into a practical plan, reviewed with pathology, radiology and surgical teams where relevant.

Second opinion & treatment review

Already diagnosed? Bring your reports for a clear review.

Wanting a second opinion doesn't mean anything is wrong. It is a normal step, and a sensible one before starting treatment, if a cancer has come back, or when the way forward isn't clear. Dr Sneha goes through your diagnosis, scans and any molecular testing, and explains the options in plain language, whether or not you continue your care with her.

  • A newly diagnosed cancer, before treatment begins
  • Recurrent or progressive disease
  • Complex cases and molecular-report interpretation
  • Understanding your treatment choices and any clinical trials

Common questions

Before you book

Where does Dr Sneha see patients?

Dr Sneha's primary practice is at Spashta Healthcare in BTM Layout, South Bengaluru, with morning and evening appointments. She also consults by prior appointment at Aster RV and Aster Whitefield. All appointments are booked through Spashta Healthcare.

What should I bring to a first appointment?

Please bring all your reports: biopsy and pathology, scans (CT, MRI, PET-CT) and discs, blood tests, any previous treatment summaries, and any molecular or genomic testing reports. A list of your current medicines is also helpful.

Can I get a second opinion without changing my current oncologist?

Yes. A second opinion is a review of your diagnosis and options. Many people have one before starting treatment or at a turning point, and then continue care with their existing team. You are welcome to do the same.

Does Dr Sneha use genomic testing for every patient?

Genomic and molecular testing is used wherever it is clinically meaningful for your cancer type and situation. Dr Sneha will explain whether it applies to you, what it can and cannot tell us, and how it would affect your treatment plan.

What are the consultation and treatment costs?

Costs depend on the type of consultation, tests and treatment involved, and are best discussed directly with Spashta Healthcare, who can also help with insurance and TPA questions. Our patient resources explain what typically affects the cost of cancer treatment.
